APO Nature-based Research Hub Hong is Kong’s foremost testing ground for nature-based solutions. We encourage innovative approaches to sustainability and ecological resilience. We aim to be a demonstration site and showcase for circular economy and environmental education.

Nature-based Solutions (NbS) are innovative approaches that leverage natural processes and ecosystems to address environmental, social, and economic challenges.

By mimicking and enhancing nature's inherent abilities, NbS aim to provide sustainable and resilient solutions to issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource management. These solutions not only mitigate environmental problems but also promote ecosystem health, enhance biodiversity, and contribute to human well-being.

By integrating NbS into our development strategies, we can create a more sustainable and harmonious relationship between human activities and the natural world.

To facilitate the adoption and knowledge transfer of Nature-based Solutions (NbS), we offer a series of UNSDG-focused learning sessions and workshops at our hub. Educators are encouraged to bring their students to broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of NbS and sustainability.

Corporations seeking knowledge workshops or potential NbS solutions are also welcome to explore and learn with us.

Our hub provides a hands-on, interactive experience to enhance comprehension and appreciation of nature-based approaches.
